On 9 November 2024, the Consular Club of Ho Chi Minh City hosted the 30th Annual International Charity Bazaar at Global City in Thu Duc city. The Consular Club, established in 1994, is a non-political, non-profit organization composed of international and Vietnamese representatives affiliated with consular missions in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, the event had brought together the diplomatic and private sector communities to raise funds for local charities. The charity event emphasized on advancing gender equality, sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable populations in southern Vietnam. Proceeds from this year’s bazaar will benefit local charities, including Newborns Vietnam, an organization dedicated to reducing neonatal mortality in south east Asia, with a specific focus on Vietnam.
The event attracted over 1,500 attendees with nearly 100 vendors, offering a diverse selection of international goods and foods, along with cultural performances, raffles, and family-friendly entertainment.
Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam was invited to participate in this event. We were proud to showcase the S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) boxes which were purposely prepared by our teachers and children. The ‘volcano’ activity gave children an opportunity to apply scientific method to find answers and solutions for themselves. Another activity, “Who sank the boat?”, also attracted many children’s attention as they learned about buoyancy by adding the animals to the boat.
The children helped to prepare the S.T.E.A.M. boxes for the charity.
Beside the S.T.E.A.M. boxes, many of the attendees had a fun time at the “Lucky Spin”, winning gifts such as key chain, fan and pen.
Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam was proud to participate in this meaningful and humane activity. We hope that the money raised will help to improve the quality of life for the less fortunate and the vulnerable population of Vietnam.
