On 21 April 2023, Kinderland teachers and staff came together to create a fun and educational experience in celebration of Earth Day. The celebration emphasises on the importance of taking care of our Planet Earth and also emphasized the importance of the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Earth Day celebrations is a reminder to us the power of education to inspire change, and the importance of starting early to create a more sustainable and beautiful world for future generations.
Kinderland children participated in activities like crafts, planting, and storytelling, all with the goal of fostering a deeper connection to nature and the world around them. One of the highlights of the day was having our children create a variety of Earth Day-themed crafts using recycled materials.
The planting station was another popular activity. Our children learned about the importance of plants and nurturing them to help the environment sustain. They planted seeds and small plants and learned about how they can care for them as they grow.
In addition to crafts, planting and games, storytelling was also an important part of the Earth Day celebrations. The teachers read stories and screened videos to educate our children about the importance of protecting the planet and how small individual contributions can make a big difference.
The Earth Day celebration at Kinderland International Preschool was a wonderful way to teach our children about the importance of environmental responsibility. It instilled in them a love for the planet. By engaging in hands-on activities and learning through stories, our children were able to gain a deeper understanding of how one’s actions can impact the environment, and how we all can make a positive difference in our own lives and communities.
Kinderland hoped that the lessons our children learned on Earth Day will grow with them, and that they will continue to appreciate and care for the planet for years to come.
