The New Year always offers an exciting opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings. With that in mind Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam enters 2022 with a sense of renewed spirit, enthusiasm and gratitude.
January 2022 has been an exciting month for Kinderland. The latest announcement of preschools allowed to re-open on 14 February 2022 after the extended closure due to the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City. Teachers and staff can finally return to work and meet our children and colleagues with this good news.
Our school team quickly made arrangements to spruce up the classrooms ahead of our long-awaited reopening. Classroom furniture and toys were wiped down clean and sanitized. Books were arranged, and our teachers decorated classroom boards with the term’s thematic teaching aids.

Our preschool also conducted Parents Orientation was also conducted via Zoom to update our parents on the Covid prevention measures the school practices. These measures ensure the safety of our children and staff at all times. The orientation land us an opportunity to catch up with our children and parents and exchange well wishes with one another. It was heartening that we still have the support and encouragement of our parents despite the prolonged closure.

To welcome the Lunar New Year, Kinderland teachers also organized a virtual TET celebration with our children on Friday 28 Jan 2022. Tết, short for Tết Nguyên Đán, Spring Festival, or Vietnamese Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebration in Vietnam. Teachers sang songs, created crafts and had festival introductory talks with our children. It was also a time for our children to showcase their TET finery for one another.

With all that was happening, January was indeed a busy but joyous month for all. As we roar into the year of the Tiger, we wish that this year brings good fortune and great wealth and health for all.
