May has been a busy month for Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam with school visits and health checks lined up for our children.

Visits to grade school are very important as it better prepare our children by understanding their next learning journey after preschool. Two grade school visits were prepared for our Kindergarten 2 (K2) children, as they approached the next leap in their educational journey in the coming school year. They visited the ICS grade school on 6 May 2022 and Western Australian International School System (WASS) on 20 May 2022.

Our children were chartered by bus, graciously arranged by the schools. During the visits, our children had glimpse of the different rooms in the schools, such as the Art room, library, cafeteria and gymnasium. During the tour, our children also interacted with the teachers and children there. Our K1 children joined the visit to WASS, and it was an eye-opener for them. They had always heard about teachers and older schoolmates and talked about progressing to grade schools after preschool.

Not forgetting our little ones who had their fair share of outdoor exploration on 13 May 2022. Our Pre-Nursery 2 (PN2) children had a walkabout at Faifolane as part of the learning theme on Plants and Nature Walk. During the walk, children observed the fauna and flora around them. A kind florist even allowed the children into his shop to discover the different types of flowers available.

At Kinderland, we believe that children gain boarder knowledge when they are exposed to learning beyond classrooms. With the easing of the Covid measure and restrictions in Ho Chi Minh City, we hope that we as a school would be able to organize more meaningful activities, fun and importantly safe outdoor trips for our children. In the meantime do stay safe and take care.
