When COVID-19 struck the world in the year 2020, we were not spared from the pandemic effects which has brought about many changes in everyone’s life. Online activities have become the new norm for schools and social life. We may lose some moments, and are taught to cherish them – graduations, interactions, and school life memories. We have to encourage each other to move forward and try our best to create new memories in a new dimension.
On 30 July 2021, Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam organized its first Virtual Graduation Ceremony for our Kindergarten Two (K2) graduands and Moving-up Ceremony for other levels. Graduation is an important milestone in every child’s life, giving children a sense of accomplishment and pride. Through the virtual graduation ceremony, Kinderland and the parents acknowledge our children’s achievements. It was also a time to catch up with our parents and children and sharing lovely memories. It was a moment we all held dearly. While we had hoped to celebrate this joyous and momentous occasion with our children and parents in person, we could only conduct it through a virtual celebration due to the tightened measures. Nevertheless, we were still very proud of every one of our children.
Before the event, our teachers worked very hard to put together a video to highlight our children’s moments in school. We reminisced those wonderful memories and moments through video clips. We wanted to showcase the video as a surprise for all our parents and children on the actual day. Teachers and children also had the opportunity to exchange well-wished with one another. And to signify the event, graduation certificates were presented online. Certificates were also prepared to congratulate our children for completing their school year of 2020-2021.
The school year 2020-2021 has officially ended for our K2 and our children from other levels here at Kinderland. It was truly heartwarming to see the love, support and encouragement from everyone. Our hearts continue to stay with them, wishing only the best for our children. It was a graduation event like no other and we sincerely wish that this pandemic will soon be over and we can all meet in person.
