The International Children’s Day of Vietnam is celebrated yearly on June 1. As suggested by its name, this festival is for our children of Vietnam. The Vietnamese believe that children are the future of mankind.  Therefore this day is dedicated to our children and to remind us to take better care and to always protect our children. It is also a day that gives our children the opportunity to make lifelong memories.

We were delighted to celebrate this special day on June 1, 2020 at Kinderland International Preschool @ Vista Verde with our children. This day also marked the day our younger children, aged between 18 months and 3 years old, returning to preschool after the three and half months mandatory school closure due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Both teachers and parents were excited to see each other.

We celebrated this special day with an array of multicolored balloons at our entrance to welcome our children back, completed with a special magic show and a balloon clown performance. The balloon clown was quick and deft at creating balloon sculptures for all our children delighting them as they received their balloons. Other activities centered around our children, such as art and crafts and storytelling, were lined up in the celebration as well. It was wonderful to see the happy smiles and genuine laughter on our children’s faces.
