Kinderland International Preschool @ Vietnam celebrated World Earth Day 2024 – Planet vs Plastics. It is a reminder of the importance of environmental protection and conservation. Kinderland children participated in different activities to foster a deeper connection to nature and the world around them. Our children learned about environmental conservation and are committed to earth-friendly practices by reducing our carbon footprints. One of the most impactful ways to reduce one’s carbon footprint is to grow a plant. Our children decorated plastic bottles and planted a plant in their recycled plastic bottle.

They also learned to differentiate the recyclables from general waste through fun and engaging songs and games. They identified which picture or action is good for our Earth.

At the end of their learning, the children created a variety of Earth Day-themed crafts using recycled materials. Through these crafts, they share their newly acquired earth-friendly knowledge and practices with their families.

Another important concept of environmental conservation is the Three R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. As part of Kinderland Vietnam’s commitment to environmental sustainability, we gifted each child with a drawstring bag to use as a wet bag. By introducing the use of these washable drawstring bags for soiled clothes, Kinderland Vietnam aims to reduce plastic waste and encourage eco-friendly practices among our students. Together, we can make a positive impact on our planet.
